Mindfulness was introduced to me a year or so ago now and I must admit, my perception of it was mumbo jumbo!! Finding myself trying to balance an intense and hectic work / family balance that doesn't provide many spare moments and especially opportunities for reflection and calmness, I decided to give Headspace (a free app introducing mindfulness) a go. I am not a total convert, in that I still haven't made it part of my regular daily routine, but when I do make time it totally changes my outlook for the day. It really helps to highlight the positives and put the negatives in a drawer as well as de-stressing. I highly recommend that you give it a go, it will positively help your Leadership.
