Plans have been lodged to transform Liverpool's Metquarter into a "vibrant retail, restaurant and leisure destination", including by adding a cinema and ramping up the food and drink offering.

Metquarter Investments (Liverpool) has submitted a full planning application to Liverpool City Council to reconfigure and refurbish the Metquarter. The proposals include the introduction of a cinema housing three auditoria, earmarked for Everyman Cinemas, as a new leisure anchor.

Potentially this is more exciting news for the progress of Liverpool's development. Also it's another shot in the arm for 'the regions' progress, there is plenty happening, I'm involved with Liverpool and Birmingham and both are marching on, exciting times.
