As head of the Rail and Infrastructure division for Collingwood, my visit to the Infrarail and CITE event is an opportunity to meet companies who are playing a pivotal role within the rail infrastructure market. With ongoing projects and more major undertakings in the pipeline, investment in the UK rail continues to grow. So it will be interesting to understand what industry developments have taken place since our visit to Railtex last year.
I am looking forward to seeing the innovations, products and services on show, and would welcome an opportunity to meet with those attending on the Tuesday. I’d value any time you can provide and would be happy to share my insights and experiences, having recently returned from Dubai where I partnered clients; helping them secure expertise in line with the scale and technical challenges of their major projects.
Let me also take this opportunity to wish you all, exhibitors and attendees a successful and prosperous exhibition.
Industry exhibitions and events tend to act as a barometer for their sectors so we were particularly impressed with a number of the stands at the exhibition. It is clear to see that previous years key themes around innovation and technology have been taken up by a number of organisations. And although the rail sector may be a bit late to the party across a number of key issues, there are extremely positive steps being made to improve and move forward. All in all this years’ Railtex exhibition filled us with confidence about the industry and its future.
